Robbie Burns Night

Our first Robbie Burns supper – a long table banquet to brighten a dark January Night!

Join us on Burns Day, Saturday, January 25th, 2020 for an evening of Scottish food, drink, music and poetry.  Chef Heather Mae and our team of Robbie Burns enthusiasts has created a menu designed to highlight features of the traditional Burns Supper, adapted to today’s tastes. It is a nod to the classic flavours of Scotland, with our own gourmet touches. Tickets are $60 and are available to purchase at the Tearoom, Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm or HERE on Eventbrite.



Beetroot and blinis (small buckwheat pancakes with crème fraiche)
Walnut oatcakes with a whiskey cheddar spread

Cullen Skink

A chowder-style soup based on smoked haddock, a staple in the Moray area in the northest of Scotland. “Skink” comes from an old Celtic word that means “essence”

Haggis, Neeps and Tatties

The traditional main is assembled in a shepherd’s pie. An authentically seasoned lamb and beef base topped with clapshot (mashed potatoes and turnips).

For the connoisseur, and those looking for an authentic experience, a nip of Scotch whiskey is served with the main dish, as is the custom (additional whiskey, red and white wine will also be available for purchase).

The classic trifle-style Scottish dessert features raspberries and cream crowdie (a rich, soft, homemade cheese)
