Earlier this year, the Farm Museum was awarded accredited museum designation by the Association of Nova Scotia Museums. In ANSM’s words “Museums receive the Accredited Museum designation by participating in the Museum Evaluation Program and meeting eligibility requirements. In order to be considered for accreditation, museums submit a voluntary application for review. The Rose and Kettle Tearoom will soon reopen its doors for indoor dining and big changes are coming! The past two years have brought with them many challenges but also many insights. During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, we pivoted to a farmyard takeout to manage public health restrictions and address the safety challenges presented by our small dining room. So many of you loved it, and let us know that. We felt a strong reconnection between the kitchen and the farm itself and we knew it was where we wanted to be.
