Farm Museum ranks #2 amongst 67 community museums in Nova Scotia

The summer of 2016 was an evaluation year for 67 community museums located across Nova Scotia.  The evaluation is a requirement of the Community Museum Assistance Program, administered by the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage.  It was conducted in partnership with the Association of Nova Scotia Museums using teams of industry professionals from a variety of museological backgrounds.  The evaluation assesses all areas of operations including Governance, Management, Facility, Collections and Access to Information, Interpretation, Marketing and Revenue Generation and Community.  The Farm Museum’s resulting score was the second highest in the program and saw the greatest increase of any institution.
