Wednesday Evening Pop Up Farmers Market

Our pop-up farmers market returns for the 2018 season, beginning Wednesday, May 30.  Market hours are 3 to 6pm each Wednesday.  Market vendors will include Shani’s Farm of Windsor, Skeldale Farm of West Lawrenctown, and Snails Pace Gardens of Musquodoboit, plus the Farm Museum’s own table with seasonal produce and tearoom baking.  The Farm Museum will also be open late and the Rose and Kettle Tearoom will be offering a Wednesday evening dinner special. Summer Student Employment Opportunities

We’re Hiring! The Farm Museum is fortunate to once again offer a variety of exciting summer work placement opportunities for full time students.  In partnership with Canadian Heritage (through the Young Canada Works in Heritage Program), Employment and Social Development Canada (through the Canada Summer Jobs Program) and the  Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education, our work experiences support the fields of museum studies, horticulture and environment, education and programing, tourism, and recreation. The Farm Museum partners with ECO Canada

We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Environmental Careers Organization of Canada. With ECO Canada’s support, we have created a unique opportunity for the Farm Museum, an internship in Environmental Programming. This position will help us to provide much of the programming and resources which the community wants from us (as shared at our 2016 community engagement gathering).
