Reopening
We’re getting closer! The Farm Museum will open in the coming weeks. What will that look like for us this year? We are reviewing the recommendations for museums and archives, as well as parks and outdoor recreation, and of course food service. There are lots of details to be worked out. Here is what we know so far:
The Farm will open with a reduced season, days and hours.
Exterior spaces only will be open initially; the grounds and gardens, pathways, pastures and wetland.
There will be a limit to the total number of people on site at one time, as well as in certain spaces.
Fewer animals will be joining us this year.
The Rose and Kettle Tearoom will be offering a limited take out menu only.
The gift shop will remain closed for the time being, however we are working on developing an online shop with curbside (farmyard in our case) pickup.
For the safety of our staff and volunteers who must access interior areas, only our secondary washrooms will be opened on a limited basis. Please consult a staff member to access.
We understand this is a lot of change but we plan to make the very best of our wonderful outdoor spaces with guided walks, new gardens to discover, and enhanced pathways. And maybe even a few new socially distanced farmyard events when the time is right!
Our opening date will be decided soon. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the Farm!
